I completed this Prayer Temple for my parents to be used for religious ceremonies. I moved to Australia as a child and wanted to create something that represents both my Indian and Australian cultures. The Temple is made from Australian hardwoods (Victorian Ash and Merbau) and it contains important religious symbolism, such as Ganesha, peacocks and an odd number of Kalashas on top. The drawer has traditional wooden runners and the doors have soft-close hinges. The brass decorative handles were purchased in a recent trip back to India. My parents and family back in India are very happy and proud of my result.
