The graphical appearance is determined by the function, which my piece contains. It’s full of my family and friends favorite games. An interactive piece and a hidden gesture to be unfold - playing games, having fun; aiming for the gold.    Game On gives the viewer a hint by its title, but by interaction one would discover what hidden gesture the piece actually embrace. The shape is determined by the board games that the cabinet contains; like a mini shuffleboard acting as the cabinets door or Ludo which is tucked away behind a floating circular smoked mirror. So as a graphical piece of furniture, Game On awaits to be unfold. It allows several people to play various games at the same time. Some games invites 2, 3, 4, 6 etc. participators to take part. Another aspect that was important for me to bring along, was the nurturing and care for the craft of woodworking, material, color and shape - in a harmonies balance.   For me, the true function of Game On arises in the collab with and between people. It invites us to spend time and taking a moment of joy together. @_karolinekvist_
