A pair of nightstands (bedside tables) in Tasmanian Oak and Jarrah. The drawer case is 400x350x140mm and features mitred waterfall sides with a bow (curved) front, matching bow-fronted drawer with half-blind and blind dovetails, and solid drawer bottom attached with slips. A feature is a tiny Jarrah-faced drawer at the rear for a watch and rings. The complementary Jarrah base (500mm high) features a bow/curved front apron, and tapered and splayed legs (3 degrees). The base allows the case to float above it. The separation of forms is accentuated by the choice of timbers. Finish is Whittle Waxes Hardwax Oil in satin. Made with power and hand tools.
