This piece was inspried by antique display cabinets. I chose a dark wood (Louro Preto) to contrast with the glass, highlighting the obect/s displayed inside. However, I also wanted to convey a sense of lightness and therefore created a glass partition and sides, allowing the viewer to see through the cabinet and enjoy the displayed object from different angles, while integrating the cabinet into its surroundings.
