Composed of Bubinga, Unsteamed Pear, & Iron Bark I am and have been fascinated by the conjoined form. This piece was informed by my favorite film A Zed and Two Noughts. The film follows two brothers, former conjoined twins (only later revealed), growing ever closer to one another as they grieve the loss of their wives. This culminates in their reunion by means of a three-piece suit. Similarly this cabinet was conceived conjoined, built as a discrete pair, and finally conjoined by means of third member--the triangular book matched section. My work is predominantly done by hand save for the milling. It is an intimate and joyful process; quiet, careful, and I would not have any other way. I welcome the idiosyncrasies of this practice--each leg is slightly different, but they all dance to the same tune.
