This chair is an homage to the legendary Prince and his iconic song. It was inspired by the flamboyant fashion of the 80s and the delicate artistry of a musical instrument. Much like Prince's music, which transcended genres, the "Diamonds & Pearls" chair draws inspiration from various sources. The design journey began by considering a chair as a second skin, shaping the body like clothing. This concept led to an exploration of 80s fashion trends, eventually finding its muse in the timeless elegance of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's furniture design. Finally, this exploration culminated in a celebration of Prince's enduring legacy. The piece was crafted from the warm tones of maple and contrasting inlays from purple heart with delicate brass rods in the back.
