This desk is part of a series of desks and hall tables I am developing featuring strong linear lines with components appearing to balance on each other. The substrate is blockboard with highly figured veneers applied. In this case the veneer is Tasmanian Blackwood with solid blackwood lipping. Construction is very simple - 12mm plywood splines which run across the width of the joint.
