I've always been inspired by the work of Wendell Castle and other furniture makers who freely use heavily carved and shaped elements in their work. This wall cabinet is designed with those makers in mind. Built from air-dried walnut, the case is constructed with dovetails and the back is made of baltic birch plywood veneered with shop-sawn white oak veneer. The drawer is also constructed with dovetails and is made of highly figured walnut (drawer front) and white oak (drawer sides and back). The moment I saw the extraordinary section of figure I knew it had to be the drawer front. The wall cabinet's dimensions are 22 3/4" x 6 1/2" x 9" (L*D*H).
