Samuel White, Burl Entrance Table (TABLES, CHAIRS, DESKS 2021 )
This is a personal project highlighting Tasmanian Myrtle Burl and the first time I have challenged myself to use Wenge. The design was inspired by woodworkers I admire such as Garret Hack and Chuck Bender (links below). @sam_white_furniture Predominately made using hand tools and a select few power tools (biscuit joiner, sander, jigsaw). I cut my own veneer on my bandsaw, hand-made mortise and tenons and dovetails, inlaid handles using hand routers and chisels - further embracing my hybrid style. Finished using Danish oil and burnishing oil.
