This box is about bringing together some of the design elements that have evolved with my work in the last few years. Dowelled hinges, the use of 'ribbed' insets to the top of the box, a roll over from the top into the front, contrasting timbers, the use of felt lining for colour pop and a bit of quirkiness in the design of the removable trays/drawers have all been included in this box. All while aiming to achieve clean and simple lines. The veneered lids are Bellinger River Wattle, endemic to that region of NSW but from a tree grown locally in Victoria. It's wood displays a range of colours, from light tan to crimson and even a bit of fiddleback. The box body are internals are Huon Pine and the ribs and base are Blackwood. Dimensions are 340 x 210 x 130
