Boris Polak, Bonsi Jewellery Bos # Two (BOWLS, BOXES 2021)

This heirloom wooden jewelery/keepsake box is handcrafted from unique Australian and North American timbers. The unique one-of-a-kind box is made from Australian Red Ironbark and North American showcasing the striking contrast between the dark Red Ironbark and pale Rock Maple. The lid is hinged using solid brass stop hinges and decorated with a stylised bonsai tree inlayed into Rock Maple and framed by Red Ironbark. The inlay uses Australian Black Bean for the trunk and Silky Oak and Meranti for the foliage. All timber used is recycled with the exception of American Rock Maple. The base of the box and trays is lined with soft black suede.
