The main concept for this piece is to have the piece change when observed from different angles. The chatoyancy of cherry is employed by altering the grain direction of the veneer on the top. The legs of varying thicknesses, are joined with half laps at at random angles and depth. The result is that the piece never looks the same as the viewer walks around it. Materials: quartered/rift cherry solid and veneer, aluminum and plywood substrate. Dimensions 1070mm x 1070mm x 450mm
