This side table is crafted from reclaimed blackwood from the Otway National Park in Victoria. The precise age of the timber is anyone's guess but given the hard time it gave even the sharpest of tools I’d give it at least a few 100 years. Pulling from my formal training and experience with Art Deco design I created the intricate veneer work making my own veneers out of the slab of timber used in most of the table to inlay into the top then highlight it with some polished brass detail.
