Designed to challenge the norm, this guitar borrows elements from classical bow driven stringed instruments and modern electric design aiming for an aesthetic of earthy colour tones. Using all reclaimed Australian hardwoods this Guitar was constructed using Tasmanian Blackwood, Spotted Gum, Ringed Gidgee and Silky Oak. Specifications are a 25" scale, neck-through, consisting of a Spotted Gum, Tasmanian Blackwood and Smoked Oak lamination with a Gidgee fretboard featuring hand cut and inlaid Brown Mussel shell inlays with brass purfling and Jescar Evogold fretwire. The body wings are fully carved front and rear, made with a Blackwood/Silky Oak/Blackwood lamination with a chambered upper, stained in a tobacco/violin burst style. Tail piece is an inlayed gidgee block with brass purfling and passes through to the rear recessed single big brass tone block for string through operation. Hardware used is Gotoh 510 series bridge and tuners with a gold cupcake style knob and Daddario elliptical strap buttons. Electronics are covered with a single Seymour Duncan 59/Custom humbucker through a CTS pot and electro-socket mounted Switchcraft jack.
