“Arcus” is a study in the balance of curves and stability. The arched Cherry legs and back supports were laminated and bent over each other on the same form, ensuring continuity between the parts. The vacuum-bent plywood seat, with veneered Maple rays around a cut-out detail, offers both aesthetic appeal and comfort as there's flex to lean back more. The combination of smooth, curved wooden elements with a velvet upholstered seat creates a sense of warmth and invitation. The design is a testament to the idea that furniture can be both an artistic expression and a practical object, enhancing the human experience in everyday life.
