Leo Primus, Alwyn's Final Flight (ART, OBJECTS 2021)

Alwyn’s Final Flight represents a half-scale Mallard in flight with the body carved from a laminated block of Northern Silky Oak and Red Cedar. The wings are carved from Northern Silky Oak which curve in three dimensions enhancing the illusion of flight and movement with the feet carved from Huon Pine. The carving is mounted to a block of Coolibah Burl with the whole carving finished in Danish Oil.
