This American Walnut Sideboard consists of solid walnut side panels and a solid bottom (allowing for expansion) along with four walnut veneered doors that have all been bookmatched. All four legs have been cut to be given a curve effect, also, grain direction runs throughout the piece including in the bottom, drawer fronts, and door rails.
The drawers consist of through dovetail joints accompanied with a veneered walnut ply bottom to show attention to detail. All four doors consist of haunched mortise and tenon joints that have been made by hand representing craftsmanship. The sideboard has been professionally sprayed with lacquer to give the timber a glossy finish and a rich colour. All hinges on this sideboard, including the door hinges and drawer sliders, are soft-close to ensure long term use with minimal or no damage.
