We're thrilled to announce award winners for Maker of the Year, presented by Carbatec!

Now in their fifth year, Maker of the Year Awards continue to provide an inspiring, international showcase of contemporary new work by fine woodworkers and wood artists.

All entries for 2024 may be viewed at www.woodreview.com.au/moty and many have been shared on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

The value of the Awards are recognised and elevated by our sponsors. Huge thanks go to Carbatec, American Hardwood Export Council, Felder Group Australia and Whittle Waxes who underscore their commitment to the woodworking community with grass roots support.

Judging such a diverse range of crafted items is not easy, to put it mildly! We're grateful to our judges: Brodie Neill (UK), David Boucher, Niklavs Rubenis, Ruth Thompson, Sally Dan-Cuthbert and Wei Wu who applied their expertise, experience and passion to the task. Learn more about our 2024 judges here. The Award winners listed below will now share in a prize pool valued at AU$18,000 including AU$11,000 cash.

The December issue #125 is on its way out to subscribers and newsagents now. Subscribe from the March issue #126 to take advantage of our 45% off subscription offer – only $28 for one year print+digital to Australian addresses. Digital editions of the new issue are available within the next few days on Zinio.

Stay tuned for January, when Maker of the Year 2024 opens for entries!

Congratulations to all who entered, and in particular to our 2024 Award Winners for Maker of the Year, presented by Carbatec!
