Student awards in Maker of the Year 2025

Maker of the Year Awards are back for 2025, with A$1000 on offer for the best secondary school entry and A$1000 for the best tertiary entry!

Maker of the Year, presented by Carbatec, is a competition open to Australian and international woodworkers that celebrates all forms of woodworking and wood art. All entries are published at www.woodreview.com.au with many entries also shown on Wood Review’s Instagram and Facebook pages.

• There are three entry categories open to all, including one for student work. The $19,500 prize pool for awards includes $11,500 cash.

• Student category is open themed and Secondary and Tertiary students enrolled in full- or part-time study in 2024/2025 may enter.

• The fee per entry is $20 until 26 April, and thereafter $25/$30.

• Deadline for entry is 4 September 2025

• The December issue of Australian Wood Review magazine will feature the Top 100 entries
shortlisted from all categories.
