Queensland walnut (Endiandra palmerstonii), reclaimed silky oak (Grevillea robusta), zebrano (Microberlinia brazzavillensis)

980mm x 340mm x 950mm

Designed to incorporate elements representing St Edmund’s College. Silky oak has been part of the college interior for 60 years. Silky oak is used as bracing and bares laser-etched images of the Celtic cross representing the college’s heritage. One piece of walnut forms the top, reflecting a modern design to the table and is attached by mortise and tenon joints.  Tapered walnut legs give the table strength and elegance. Six pieces of zebrano, representing the six houses of the college, have been used to form the lapped drawer fronts. Dovetail joints have been used in the drawers.
