Woodworking has always been a passion of mine. Going into Year 12 Industrial Technology, I wanted to purse this passion via a major project that would further my skills in the future. I constructed a Roubo-styled workbench with a both a wagon vice and leg vice.

The top of the bench is interesting as it contains five layers of MDF laminated together and encased in blackbutt. This saved money whilst still retaining the heft that I wanted. I added many ‘fancy’ features like the veneer laminated wave inlay and carving centrepiece. I also turned my walnut handles and hand cut the two types of dovetails used in the bench.
