Qld Open Day event celebrates new portable sawmilling showroom
Recently, Combined Saw and Knife (CSK) hosted an open day event at its Deception Bay, Qld facility which showcased the power and potential of portable sawmilling technology. Since 2001, CSK has offered comprehensive blade sharpening services and supplies a range of tooling including sawblades and bandsaw blades.
The October 18 event was a celebration of CSK’s partnership with Wood-Mizer through the construction of a dedicated new building. This is now a showroom for clients to view, touch and explore the options that Wood-Mizer has created over the past 45 years.
The Wood-Mizer range includes sawmilling equipment for both beginner and experienced sawyers, as well as other specialised equipment for hobbyist and industrial solutions. In addition, visitors to the centre can access Wood-Mizer accessories, cant hooks and bandsaw blades.
‘The new building is large enough to house a dedicated section for spare parts so we can efficiently serve Australian customers to get them back up and running in no time’, said CSK manager Natalie Musson.
‘On our special day we were joined by many Wood-Mizer officials from around the world such as President of Wood-Mizer Industries Robert Baginski from Poland, Regional Director Robert Moxham who has now relocated to Australia from Asia, Director of Emerging Markets, JJ (Jean-Jacques) Oelofse from America, and Director of Australia Ian Lendrum who is based in Perth’, said Natalie.
‘These gentlemen were able to provide valuable information to attendees and offer an expert opinion to any burning questions. CSK owners Liz and Jim Flanjak were very emotional on this day, it has been a very long building process and seeing the final result was a very memorable moment for them.’
