Red cedar

500x 300mm

The timber for this clock came from a large red cedar tree that was growing at the school, which was blown over during Cyclone Yasi. The timber was milled into slabs at the school, and then as part of our course, the slabs were dressed to the finished sizes to use in this project.

The clock’s  octagonal face and frame were assembled separately using biscuit joints and then fastened together. The clock is fitted with a pendulum kit supplied by the school. This clock was made following the plans supplied as part of our course.
