Jarrah, cedar, pine
360 x 400 x 40mm
I created this unique cutting board with three different timbers cut and aligned in such a way to make it look 3D. All sections are solid blocks cut, sanded and glued together.
I took a lot of pride in this cutting board and paid close attention to joint detail as I strived for perfection. The finish I used was Scandinavian oil. This is a cutting board creatively designed to enhance a kitchen décor however I have decided it is just too good to use for that purpose.
My woodwork teacher, Mr Jones, recently displayed it in our Technology Exhibition and told me it drew a lot of comments and a couple of offers from parents to buy it. The dimensions for each diamond shaped piece are 25 x 25mm
