Jarrah, Tasmanian oak, plywood

600 x 400 x 550mm

I chose to use jarrah and Tasmanian oak for the cabinet because of the contrast between the two rich colours and their interesting grains. The drawers are held together by handmade dovetail joins and they have both been installed with spring loaded, push to open drawer runners. The maroon felt inside the drawers contributes to the overall vintage/retro style of the piece itself. This project has been a major learning process for me and I have enjoyed working on it and fixing my mistakes along the way.
