Featured entry, Maker of the Year 2021: Austin Heitzman
Wood Review magazine's Maker of the Year awards presented by Carbatec are open to woodworkers and wood artists all around the world. In 2021, the awards carry a massive prize purse valued at over $20,000, including $8,400 in cash. World category winner receives AUD$1000.
Making a statement, the entry shown here is an absolutely deluxe Liquor Armoire by USA designer maker Austin Heitzman who describes it as: "A lighted liquor armoire with grafted walnut burl doors."
The tree’s natural edge is used for maximum dramatic effect and also evokes a classical swan neck pediment.
The central display window has a glass door that can only be accessed once the piece is opened."
We hope you'll consider entering Maker of the Year awards and look forward to sharing your work!
