In the this video we see Ben Crowe of Crimson Custom guitars make a solid body electric guitar. ‘We do not mass produce facsimiles of 50 or 60 year old designs…it’s boring’, he says, stressing that his guitars are all originals.
Ben eschews CNC and the like preferring the satisfaction and results that hand tools and hand detailing can give to both maker and client alike.
Craftsmanship is assumed, guitars like these are all about their playability and the sound they produce.
