Solid jarrah, jarrah veneered MDF

The project was constructed entirely at school and was to be used as a study desk. The desk has curved legs, a range of joints including, widening, housing, mortise and tenon and stopped housing joints for the curved drawer fronts. A significant aspect of the design and production was the mortising of individual strips that created the end panel detail. Each drawer has a curved front created by vacuum forming shop-made veneers over a curved former. Each runs on soft-close runners.
