Celebrate Trees in July

In the face of climate change, world population growth, forest clearing and the inroads of modern urban development, trees have never been so threatened, and as a consequence, so valuable.

Australia’s biggest tree planting and nature care event is taking place again in July this year (Schools Tree Day on July 27, National Tree Day on July 29).

National Tree Day is dedicated to remembering not only the above forms of significance but also the way trees are etched into our psyche and creative lives. In this video Planet Art National Tree Day ambassador Steve Parish talks about his relationship to trees.
