As part of the Australian National University’s Centre for continuing education’s week long woodworking intensive program, two Japanese wood artists will present workshops.
From Monday 8 September to Thursday 11 September, 2014, Hiroshi Yamaguchi's Japanese Woodworking Intensive will provide students with an introduction into and practical experience of Japanese tools and joinery techniques as they produce their own take home stool.
On Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September, Tokyo-based Satoshi Fujinuma will host a Naturalistic Wood Carving workshop. On September 1 Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre will welcome internationally acclaimed Japanese wood artist Satoshi Fujinuma to Canberra to commence an International artist-in-residency at Gudgenby Ready-Cut Cottage, Namadgi National Park, ACT.
