The top was made with a mix of all sorts of hard wood gum species. The table was made for an outdoor area next to the BBQ for any meat preparation before cooking.The whole idea was to make a big heavy very sturdy table to take any hit or blow from a knife but to be at a very comfortable hight for anyone to stand at or to work at. The design was to go for something that really stands out and catches your eye from any angle you look at it.
