Jarrah, rock maple, Victorian ash veneer, blackwood veneer, PVA, dowel
600 x 600 x 600mm

This piece was created from a design brief that required the designer to construct an artefact incorporating square, triangular and round elements. The designer combined his love for the game of backgammon, stemming from his Greek heritage, with his own creativity to design a cube coffee table with a backgammon board as the table top. The board is constructed to the scale of a standard playing board while also incorporating the designer's own personal ideas. This design gave him a table that not only fit the design brief, but was out of the ordinary and aesthetically fit perfectly in his house.
