Australian Design Centre MAKE award call for entries

With $35,000 first and $10,000 runner-up prizes, the biennial MAKE Award is Australia’s richest non-acquisitive award for Australian designer makers in ceramics, glass, furniture/woodwork, metalwork, textiles and fibre, and jewellery.

Entries are encouraged from designer makers with a high level of skill either working with materials that are new to their practice or working in new and innovative ways.

The Award is offered via the Australian Design Centre. Eligible work must be created within 18 months of the entry date and not previously exhibited; and must demonstrate an extension of the designer maker's work beyond their usual practice.

Entries open 9 December 2024 and close 5 May 2025. Finalist entries are exhibited 10 October – 19 November 2025.
