The Coronation Chair at Westminster Abbey is the oldest surviving piece of furniture still used for its original function. In this video, conservator Krista Blessley talk about the history of the Chair, the damage it has sustained (including layers of centuries-old graffiti,) and explains how it is cared for before it will soon be used again for the first time in almost 70 years.
