Turning a Rose Quartz Maple Ring
Here’s a turning project from Thomas Anton Geurts that will show you how to create a fine piece of jewellery.
Veneer is wrapped around turned cylinder with cyanoacrylate glue until a laminated band is formed. Next, an outer layer of crushed rose quartz is glued on and then smoothed and sanded to create a lustrous central panel. With the centre turned away, the ‘ring’ can now be finish turned and polished. The video shows every step of the process.
