Double the life of your hand sanding materials with a simple trick.
Folding sandpaper over surface to surface, as is the normal practice, abrades the mating surfaces and thus reduces the usefulness of the sheet.
Try this instead. Score the paper into quarters, tear down one line, then fold paper onto itself in the steps shown.
As you can see, the cutting side of the sandpaper is now against the backing material and the cutting edge is saved for when it is needed.
