Learn the Art of Kumiko

From April 20 to 22, 2018 Damion Fauser and Des King are teaming up once again to conduct an introductory workshop into the Japanese art of making kumiko.

The workshop is suitable for all skill levels and will cover the fundamentals of laying out and preparing traditional Japanese kumiko joinery with hand tools, led by world renowned master Des King.

Each student will prepare a beautiful Asa-no-ha pattern presented within a decorative frame. This workshop will enhance your layout and cutting skills as well as instilling a fundamental use of reference marking systems.
