As an IT person the clutter of cords and electronic equipment in my bedroom was driving my mother crazy, hence I was inspired by her fury to make a compact product to store most of my electronic equipment.  Functionally it’s perfect as I can stand and use the laptop in the top drawer as well as store everything out of sight.  Aesthetically it was inspired by buildings such as the George Pompidou Centre in Paris.  The parts of the building that could be hidden are celebrated, hence I put a labyrinth of shapes externally and the surprise that tricks all, are the handles that are part of that structure.  The drawers are dovetailed and the corners are mitre and biscuits with dowel joining the external shapes.
