My double bed major work is a more futuristic take on a modern double bed. I have designed it to push the boundaries of a normal bed through the use of angled legs and a large curved piece which not only acts as a leg but also doubles as a light. I wanted to achieve a unique piece that would intrigue viewers and create a talking point. For the large curved piece I used a laminate and clamp-to-mould method as it was both convenient and suitable. Being a perfectionist I ensured that all joints were done well through attention to detail, patients and persistence, with my only limitation being the quality and accuracy of the machines that I could use.
